Hey guys... A while back my sis gave me a compilation tape (damn it was really badly recorded) with a load of some type of music on it. I know most of you like music, so I was wondering if you could help me identify 3 songs. I've uploaded them to my old webspace, they're all 30 second (or round about) mp3's, less than 600k each. There's no one I know who can tell me what these songs are so I was wondering if someone here could help me ^_^. Be Warned: They're sort of dance music songs or something like that Song 1- "life" Song 2 Song 3
Song 2 ???????????? Its from about 1991 same time as a lot of the indie stuff came out and early rave/dance like the shamen etc.

If you can go and torture the people in charge of BT until they give in and upgrade my exchange to ADSL so I can download them without it taking forever, then I may be able to help
lol same here, Bt won't enable ours. you probably know the story with ntl. I get speeds of around 2k/s for most downloads. It might go upto the withering heights of 4.2k/s if I'm on a decent server. Sorry, Do you want me to decrease the filesizes or something? reducing the quality wouldn't make much difference, the tape was really badly recorded..
It's ok I'll download the 600k ones now, I doubt I'll recognise any of the songs but it's worth a shot. Btw, I'm seriously considering BT satellite ADSL, only the 2 second pings and £1000 installation/equipment charge bothers me a bit.
That was quite a quick download for me! Got 5.2k/s but alas, I haven't heard either of those songs before. Sorry.
Song 2 It was a bit of a commercial rave track from 91 might have been Bizarre Inc. I know I had it on a compilation CD but cant find it.

Just like Adam, I reckon downloading over 56k is a ****ty idea. If only I were still working at that wonderful place that gave me free ADSL internet access 5 days a week
Ummm.. you're complaining about DOWNLOADING on 56k? It took me 3 days to upload these files. My modem has decided it will stop sending data when I'm uploading.. which means I can't have attachments on my emails or update my website. Downloads aren't bad - 2k and up to 4.2k Thanks for the URL's AW3K

I'll have a go at them. My BT connection isn't to bad, I live about 5 miles away from town and I got on average about 3.5k/s. I also get steady browsing transfers of around 10kb/s. Doesn't matter which ISP I use Bt or AOL I get about the same. On P2P I get about 3.5k/s. Give me half an hour and i'll them d/l and i'll get back to you.
Adam: Don't even think of getting Satellite ADSL, low ping rate, astronomical costs, download only etc. Satellite is only suited to remote Arctic research outposts. Even then, running a few hundred miles of fiber optic cable under the sea pro'lly works out cheaper! Drunkenbum: No, I'm not a skater, I just like the spitfire logo.
