Given Sony's "king of proprietary" status, it wouldn't surprise me if the dispute over compensation was Sony originally saying "ok we'll give you a redundancy package, but it'll be on Sony Store vouchers" then when they come over personally, they just raised the value, but kept it Sony Store vouchers!

Title did make me chuckle in a sadistic manner...

When presented with ********, the French know how to deal with it. Why don't we Brits take some lessons? We just lie on our backs and take it :(

A lot of people still use them to record shows off tv. Old people. People who update their television sets every 20 years and aren't computer literate. There are more than you think!

kind of sad those things are necessary as a negotiation tool. i only hope they give him at least some water and bread, or as the French say: een peu de pain, du vin en du boursin.

so union leaders say it kidnapping is justifiable, do they realize they just put those 311 people in jail,. and might be placed in jail too since they planned it?

I believe that's part of the negotiation tactic. They clearly knew what they were doing was going to be a risk. But it's being sure you let the other person know that you are willing to risk your self to stand up for what you know is right. That's the line most people aren't willing to cross and the reason why a lot of the free worlds governments are so willing to pass absolutely ridiculous legislation. Imagine if a city did this to it's mayor. What are the police going to shoot down an entire city? whats the average population to police ratio? besides the police are a part of that community too, it's making them understand that if they don't like something they have a voice against it too, as long as they haven't sold their soul to the badge.

Finally people are standing up against the unlimited corporate greed that ruled the world for too long, I hate to say it, but that is one of the best things the french ever did.
