Dual Shock 2 contollers are by far the best :thumb:

And I can't wait for that track

The Gran Turismo Series is still one of the best games ever on the PS2 imo, followed very closely, if not tied, with the Tony Hawk's Series (apart from TH2, that was crap).

I only really play racing games so I'd say that it is the best controller ever. :p

[Really, do we need that sort of talk here? Can't you just say you're excited and leave it at that? GOO :blah:]

i know this is totally the wrong place.... but.
how can it be the best controller? surely a force feedback wheel and pedals is more realistic?

Its a wonderful time to be a gamer :D

As for controllers, I find it easier to quickly flick a thumbstick over to get a bit of counter steer than it is to turn a whole wheel. That said, I'd say the wheels are more fun and more accurate but the controllers can produce better results. I prefer a semi decent wheel TBH.

I still prefer the Xbox controller over the PS2 pads personally. Easier for my big mits to hold on to.

Oh don't get me wrong, steering wheels are cool.

What I meant was that the Dual Shock 2 controllers are the best 'stock' console ones out there.

Compared to XBOX / Dreamcast / GC ones etc. ;)

    Cant wait for this.

I had a blast on GT3 the other day, and the graphics are still bloody awesome. Still the best looking game on ps2 imo.

    Roll on GT4. :D

7 minutes 19 seconds is the production car record set by a 1500cc Radical SR3 Turbo...chopped 14 seconds off the previous record which was set by a 650bhp porsche ^_^ the outright lap record on Nordschleife of Nürburgring is 6:41 by Derek Bell in 1983 with a Group C Porsche 956.

But I have heard talk of a possible 6:11 lap...

    Hmmm...

Anyway, I'd like to see someone go under 7 minutes on the Nordschleife in GT4...I just hope they don't dilute the track.
