    Hi,

I recently got a free upgrade to a Sony Ericsson W350i from my local AT&T retailer, and I was wondering if anybody knows about the "memory card size limit".

On the Sony page for the W350i, it reads that the phone only supports Memory Stick Micro (M2) cards up to 4GB.

Often times, when manufacturers put these in, it is because they have not tested larger cards, or that larger cards did not exist as yet.

Without reading the specifications, I placed an order yesterday for an 8GB M2 card from an online retailer, assuming that it will work on my phone.

I'm thinking it is possible that it will work, as on sites like Craigslist and Ebay, consumers can purchase the W350i with an 8GB card, though it is possible that the sellers have not tested the two together, and that the phone really doesn't support 8GB cards.

Reading the Sony site is highly discouraging, and i'm thinking of cancelling my order. Any suggestions?

It might work, it might not, the whole supported thing is more so some idiot doesn't complain when their 32GB card doesn't work in a 4 year old phone (i.e. when 32GB cards didn't even excist).

Tbh, it wouldn't be hard to sell it on if it doesn't work, so there is no real point in cancling your order.

Is it possible for you to go to the AT&T store and physically try out an 8GB card in the phone?
