    FUGLY.

Does look nicer to use than the existing one though.

    Like the look of that.

If it works nicely with my PS3 then may be interested...

I really like the sound of the new PSP, seems to me its what the PSP should have been originally... I also seem to be in the minority that likes the design... At worst its no uglier than the DS/i

I like the design, whats so bad about it? lol

Still wouldn't buy one like handheld consoles for me have always been a novelty for me like "look shiny, play, play, play".......5 mins later its back in its box never to see the light of day again

I'm not sure - if it's reliant on WiFi i can see that deterring some people, if it's the only way to get new games for it. It looks OK and more comfy than the previous PSP, but I'd be worried about damaging it.

i remember getting the first psp whilst on holiday in america . like D3s3rt F0x it was a novelty buy and swiftly went back in the box.

one of the main reasons for this was the pricing of games which were around the same price as ps2's at the time. I think sony shot themselves in the foot with that one!

Glad to see they are still upholding the psp brand though and hopfully as they are now competing with the iphone redesign the awful interface. trying to scroll through and select music was terrible.

Have the whole range of PS2 titles and previous PSP titles available for download at launch via inbuilt WiFi, at £1.99 a pop, through a streamlined App Store, and this may stand a chance.

Somehow though, I doubt it'll work that smoothly.

Now if the PSP Go looked like this. I would buy it at the drop of a hat.

Too bad it was just a fan made concept

Red Eye: That looks very uncomfortable to use.

You may be right but its only a concept so it's more about form over function. Mind you, looking at the PSP Go, the button layout is a little lower than the original PSP and seeing as it is curved in the same way I'm assuming that you are suppose to hold the device in a similar way which might cause problems. That reminds me, where are all the volume/home/display/sound buttons gone???

Home looks to be bottom left of the screen.

Guess the others are on the side / bottom somewhere.

I'm not a fan of the looks, but as long as the buttons are touch/pressure sensitive for driving/racing, I'd like one. :D

Can it do full PS2 games do we think? If it could that'd be epic beans... GT4 anyone? Yes please.

It looks uncomfortable to hold to me. I have quite large hands, and the buttons look too far down, that the console wouldn't fit nicely in them.

    Agreed.

With the buttons that low, your thumbs are gonna know it in about 15 minutes of gaming. RSI is not a good thing...

That requires them to price stuff reasonably.

I'd buy quite a few old PS1, PS2 and PSP games at £1.99 (even a couple I own already, like FFVII) but the chance of Sony being reasonable about something like that is really, really slim.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. All of the buttons look too close together and too near the bottom; depends how much the screen part weighs, but I'd be worried about it slipping out of my hands if I needed to give my thumbs a break from torturing them with those controls.

But then, I can't stand slidey design phones, so I'm not going to be in favour of a slidey PSP either.

What I REALLY want for the PSP is a hardware revision....

As for the PSP Go, I'll not be buying one. I actually like the analog "stick" on my PSP and it looks like this one will be nigh unusable.

First thoughts, "Is this a joke?". It looks worse then the original DS.
