I plan on having my two intakes, my two exhausts, my cpu, and my hard drive cooler setup all plugged into it... CPU is going to have minimum voltage to it at all times (7V in my case), I'm going to use a piece of circuit board to set it up on, and I plan on using 3mm LEDs to do the glowing knob effect.... I'm down to getting the last few parts before I start (knobs, PCB and wire terminals), any suggestions on what not to do before I start?? I hope to maintain the Tach line on my cpu fan for the sake of having it... all of my other fans (formerly Enermax Ultra-Cool Thermal Sensitive 80mm) have had all of the lines desoldered and I plan on using just a +12V and a ground on them... I don't need the thermal sensitivity or the Tach on them... anyone know where to get black aluminum knobs in the US? I hope to recess the whole hing so just a portion of the knobs stick out so I can maintain the door on my Antec SX1030... black aluminum knobs with 1/4" shafts... looking for like a 1" diameter... anyone?
I have a baybus which I made (not very well...will do a better job sometime) for my chieftec dragon (same as the SX1030). I used some black plastic switches from maplins, which I think look better than the long metal toggles used in most baybuses, and they are nowhere near touching the door. www.geocities.com/isibson and click on baybus
Soon to begin... got all of the parts together... just waiting on my friend to say he's ready to start doing some work.... (my soldering skillz suck) bringing my camera with me... so hopefully have some pictures of the construction... then maybe wreit a guide for it
Here's my External switched rheo with cathode switch as well. took me about 2 days to make, built on stripboard so had to figure out how to build it lol.... used the plans found here at bit-tech. what you think? AW3K
ive made my own rheobus, all i need are 3 more varible resistors and power cables but i keep on forgetting to ask the teacher to order them, its like 4 mini 1's on 1 main pcb, 1 unit works the 3 are waiting 4 the resistors works very well. the transistors i used were from rapid at 32p each and can give out 65 watts/5A each i think!!!!!! they need heatsinks which are in teh pic but i need to cut em up. the pcb has a few design flaws not significant. http://www.geocities.com/oo0clan/rheobus.JPG sorry for poor quality
hi m8 cheers yeh it rocks, i can hear again lol the box is from maplin. Code = LF01B but they don't come with the vents in the top....... i had to do them my self with a template i made in word and a drill bit lol. Later AW3K
