I have the original Live Drive, the one without the optical output dealies and have 2 qeustions for anyone who has one or modded one...

1- Do you have or know where I can find a pin-out diagram? I want to integrate a 2-channel led vu meter into the bezel, but don't want to screw with wiring it to the soundcard itself.

2- Will a standard IDE cable between the Live Drive and the sound card work? I noticed that the cable is the same size as an IDE and if I can, I'd like to replace it with a round silver cable like my hdd's.

I don't think a standard ide cable will work.

I had asked the question before about using a standard IDE cable, ad I believe the answer came back as no. But then I upgraded to the Audigy platinum ext., and the damn internal cable is half an inch wider than the oringal live drive cable, so I know for a fact that it can't be done on that one :D. Oh well, I'll probably not buy another creative soundcard now that I know of the better alternatices. Thanks Bit.
