Recently, I will just be in the middle of a game, or sometimes just in Windoze when all my sound just cuts out. I have checked speakers etc so it must be the onboard sound card :(

Anyone heard of this prob before?

The onboard sound card is not that good imo - disable it and by a card.

I have this mobo and I did have strange sound probs once... Make sure you've done the following,

-Got the latest bios from www.epox.net
-Got the latest 4in1's from www.viaharware.com
-Downloaded the latest AC97 sound drivers (probably from the vis site too)
    -Reinstalled DirectX for good measure.

Now check you don't have any hardware conflicts and have a play with the sound options in the bios.

If it's still not working then hmmm...

I just upgraded to a SB player 5.1 and the £25-£30 is wrth it!

    Cheers,

    r.
