Windows Sp1a windows xp problems

    sooo

    I re-install windows.... and got this error

    !!! What can I do??? Iv tired to close all apps.

    try killing loads of processed and services as well mebbe? :confused:

    or maybe it would work better if your sig wasnt half a page long :D :thumb:

    yeh i have tried that, and done it in safe mode


    Yes the sig, gonna resize when I get around to it

    Here is an article from Microsoft. In short it says that your error could be caused by faulty memory or problems in the mass storage controller subsystem (I.E. LARGE HDD).

    Also try this article

    The other issue I saw while searching was problems with CD-RW's Check with the manufacturer to make sure you have the latest drivers.

    Mostly a cdrw problem, because it says "atapi" in the end of the message.

    Could be Deamon tools that uses the cd at the same time as
    the install.exe?

    i ended up renaming the file and it installed....then windows made the file again when i rebooted. Seem to of done the trick.
