I have a spare PSU that I want to use as a test rig for the odd thing or two but don’t want to connect it to a Mobo. Do any of you guyz know how to rig this thing so I can get it to fire up. Is it a matter of just knowing the correct pins on the mobo socket or shall I just close the door quietly on the way out!!!!!

You'll also need a load of about 1A on the 5v line to get the thing working, Antec make a test device reviewed here that has a 5R4 (?) 25W resistor, a led to show its on, and a link from green wire to black.

    The 25W resistor's overkill, a 4R7 or 5R6 7W or 10W would be fine if air-cooled & not wrapped in insulation.
