Ok Guys. Just thought I'd show off my family car, yes that's right I'm 36 *cough* and have two kids, bless em. They always asking me to go fast and to get the dump valve hissing. Still they will be wondering when I shortly I go off the roads for speeding twenty years man and boy and I get dealt this cruel blow :jawdrop:

It's a fare cop, if they had been 500yards further down the road I may have got it out of second :naughty: Shame on me, I should know better, yeah right!

    Here's my baby.

I had a good deal and more room for the kids and surf boards. Lugging PC's to LAN's is no hassle at all even for my rigs :thumb:

Speed limit on the Island is 35mph for reference.

I was cought doing 46 in a 25mph zone. Why do we have fast cars, because we want too :naughty:

We don't have a points system here, it's a straight ban depending on the judge, his mood and the weather :duh:

It's a WAGON not an ESTATE !! And it is exactly the same length and wheelbase as the saloon ! The only difference other than the back hatch is the saloon has slightly flared wheel arches making it 45mm wider. And you can lug big loads in it :D
Too many Max Power types have the saloon, the wagon is much more subtle and a better day to day practical car.

Spawny - unlucky about the ban, that really sucks. Any idea how long it'll be ?

I actually reckon the 'wagon' looks nicer than the saloon :thumb:

I am trying to convince my dad to get a scooby WRX wagon to replace our craptastic passat 1.8T.

That one looks nice, I wouldn't have lexus style rear lights though, Altezza lights or whatever they call them, IMHO they only look good on white or really dark coloured cars. Each to their own though ain't it :)

How do you find the brakes on it btw? I have heard some scooby drivers moan that the brakes aren't that good for a performance car, and there are a lot of upgrades for them, but I don't know whether these complaints are just because of the way most scooby drivers treat the car :D or whether they really are not so good.......

    :)

I wouldn't mind one of the higher end Forester models - real sleepers :)

Looks like a volvo, goes like a WRX :D

The brakes on pre-MY00 were pretty naff and most people upgrade them - Brembo, AP Racing and the Prodrive ones are pretty popular. The new age Impreza (MY01 onwards) have 4-pots as standard (on the front, and 2-pots on the rear) and are good enough for moderate to fast road use. The STi model comes with Brembos as standard. People who use their WRX for track days tend to go for the 6-pot calipers and uprated discs, again AP Racing are generally a favoured brand. A decent set of pads can make all the difference too.

I've found the brakes to be very good, not sure if they are standard or not but wouldn't spend any money on it. The day to day speed on the island is low and the odd chnace you get to hoof it means it copes very well

My speeding offence, first ever will probably mean a month off the road and an £80 fine.

For those interest or not, my courts case for speeding is on the 2nd of October :waah:

I'm expecting a month off the road and £80.00 fine first offence. Anything more would be extremely harsh :wallbash:
