I was wondering if any can recommned a speaker system to fit my required specs:
    > Price range of up £65
    > Must work with a standard sound card
    > I'm not to bothered about whether or not it is 5.1
    > Peferably with a subwoofer

I was thinking of getting the from tekheads Creative® FPS1600 Speakers can anyone tell me if they are ay good?

ive heard those are nice, but i'd say save up a tad more and go w/ the Z560's i got em, reviewed em on my site if u wanna take a look @ em.... I love the things and think they are better than any other speakers u can buy, and they are pretty cheap too....

Thanks for the advice, I checked you site out however I'm having trouble finding them in the UK, so I think I'll go with the creatives, there down to £40 ($80 I think ) now,.

Ok I'm ordering the FPS1600's now. I had to order from Jungle in the end because Tekheads was down, so they cost a little more. But I really need new speakers so that's the price I'll have to pay. Can't wait to get these babies plugged in, my current sound system has crapped up completly.

Void - do you want me to write a review for you when I get them?

Looks like I made the right choice then! My old speakers have started to make funny noises even when they are switched off!

I'm looking at the FPS1600 and SW320 myself right now, to replace my now dead SW310s :( they will only be for directional sound in games, for I have my big Jamo hi fi speakers for music and the like.

Surround sound would be nice, though the trail of wires less so........will I really notice the difference (in games, for I dont watch DVD on my PC), and is it still possible to hook up hi fi speakers *AND* the FPS1600s (I have a 1x3.5mm male to 2x3.5mm female adapter so could have the Jamos as front speakers as well I presume, turned down for gaming but on for music)............this seem ok?

if u can hook it up... more power to ya... ive got a friend who has 2 12" subs w/ amps and crap for his sound system..... its impressive, yet i dunno how he hooked it up...

But as i said before, if you have the money, go w/ the Z560s - there is a review of them on my site.... They will give you the directional stuff you want for games, and more power than you will ever need for your music.... just a thought....

Z-560s are too expensive for me mate :( £50 is my max budget tbh, so the FPS1600 will have to do if I'm going for 4.1 over 2.1

Also, I think the Z-560s will be shown how to do music by me Jamos ;)

I think klipsch makes the best PC speakers...maybe get the promedia 2.1, they are $179 on their site but i'm sure you can get it alot cheaper elsewhere. Oh wait...you ordered already :sigh: :D

When you buy Klipsh speakers, your getting top of the line speakers, but your also over paying like nothing else... Your "paying for the name" more than anything... same sorta deal so oreos and imitation oreos (hehe, i found some that taste exactly the same :D)
