    ohh, the horrors of domestication!
    I see that you've bought a load of stuff already, well on the way there.

    Agreed on the German knives, but I have to say that my favourite small knife for veg is the inexpensive serrated blade Victorinox kitchen knife.
    They do 8 & 10cm ones and also the 11cm fruit knife with the rounded end that I have too.

    I did get the pots and pans yesterday just forgot to mention it.

    Was in Debenhams and the set I got was £99 The cheapest I had seen on the net was about £125 so couldn't resist.

    Linky That is the one I picked up for reference.

    Knifes I still have not looked much at as I will most likely wait a month or so to get some simply as I want to get something I like and I think as some have said I need to do some digging.

    I will look at the knife you have linked as while I do want a really good Chefs Knife as has been recommended I also am used to (thanks to my parents very well equipped kitchen) having plenty of small useful knifes for fruit and veg if I am simply cutting small things to eat and not preparing for cooking.
