as I said, FedEX shipping has arrived,
and the screen is here !

    Pyle PLVH72 (7.2")

it has 2 video RCA inputs and 1 RCA audio input, and of course 12v (<7.2 watts !)

the quality is quite good, and I use a simple cheap GF4 card...

pics of the LCD and some samples with the TV card through computer

    enjoy !!!

quick question, is the quality of the screen actually any good,? i know there are the pics but the quality looks sorta bad in them, or is that just down to the way the camera capures them ???

    both affect it.

the TVout of the GF4 card is not so good quality, so it is not excellent, but for movies etc. it is good !!

don't forget it has 2 inputs, and it can work with both parallely, it also has a good internal speaker, and a tiny remote with many options and adjustments ! :D

I'd say you got a pretty decent price. I've seen that exact one on ebay for $15 cheaper, but that other website might have cheaper shipping.

    OK -

I'm working on a very important issue now,

the Gigabyte 7vkml has only VGA output, and I cannot add a graphic card, it is too tall, and also the TVout is not very good on the 7.2" screen...

as you know, I hope, VGA or RGB interface video cannot be converted directly to Composite (RCA) or S-video interface.
    a special convertor is needed.

    I searched, and found such units for 299$, 200$, 130$ and even 48$ !
BUT, 48$ + 40$ for the shipping, I havent arrived so far...
Here in Israel ? absolutely no.

I was starting to work on a plan for such a convertor,
I will order the components from RScomponents France when I will be in France, next month.
All needed components cost approx. 10EUR, plus the base CHIP that costs 16 EUR.
Total cost is 26EUR, and of course, free shipping !
it is better and cheaper than any other 299$ devices :thumb:

I won't give the schemes now, maybe after trying it :geek:

and as addition, a beautiful spectrum analyser lm3916 based :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:
an update will be tomorrow, probably after fiding a suitable new PSU

BTW- What kind of digital camera do you have? Your pics are amazing resolution/quality

like what you did, it looks extremely similar to what i am about to do :D. cept im using an old 8 track player(late 70's) and gutting it. i have a lot more knobs on the front to tinker with though. i like what you did, now if you can get the vcr clock to work :D get those buttons to work right!
and i dont know if you did it or not-but make the vcr slot into a cd drive-im turning the 8 track slot into a floppy or cd drive :D

this is impossible, a cd rom is too big to enter to this case...

and I also cannot see why I will need cdrom... I don't use many CDs...
