Networks speed drops

    i have a broadband connection, and my speed keeps dropping off or the net stops all together. i know that this is a problem with my computer, because the other computer that's sharing this connection works fine, but i cant seem to use the connection at times. i can ping the other computer, but not external systems. any one got any idea why this is happening?
