    Was a 800bhp+ V8 supercharged Caterham back in KITCAR mag a few years ago. :)

    No, was a Caterham Special 8 or so of the fastest in the country, this was in 97 - 98.

    Not really sure, I guess boredom got the better of me in an IT lesson :D Nice to see everyone with loads of input aswell ;)

    Can't say i've been in a fast car on many occasions. Been about 100 MPH in one of my dads friend's Integra Type R. I'm sure we've done about 120 MPH in my dad's Golf 1.6 :)

    88MPH then everything around me started to spark and blur and I found myself back in 1955.

    Seriously though, I've hit 110 in my MG and with my dad driving his Volvo C70 before he got rid of it - 130.

    it took a few agos at 115mph but i eventually managed to get my Rover 416SLi to 120mph on a dual carrageway at 1am. Its just keeping the bottle as your flying past lorrys...

    About 130mph in my old '86 Olds Delta 88 Royale on I90 near Albany with a friend running point watching for troopers about a mile ahead of me. God I miss that car. It had a Buick 3.8l V6 and was essentially the same engine that was in the Grand Nationals sans turbo.

    It was very similar to this one. Same color, different wheels.

    but ive been 175 in a bently gt continental. fast ****ers

    Fastest I have driven myself : 170kmph.. (about 95-100mph).
    Fastest I have 'been' driven : 200kmph.. (about 120mph)

    But normally I should go for a ride in a Porsche 997 this summer. And also a Aston Martin DB7 Cabrio. I should beable to drive the Aston Martin myself... not at 100mph though, lol.

    Fastest ever was 160mph riding pillion on a friends Hayabusa.

    Personal top is 140 on a CBR 900 late at night on an abandoned motorway (just before i got a bit worried and reined in the testosterone...)

    as a passenger somewhere around the 160 mark (pillion on a tricked up gsxr1100)
    driving seen 130 indicated on the speedo coming down the m3 in my slightly modded (and now very bent) corolla gti

    Right... well my first one is a bit of an achievement... driving my mini clubman 1275GT at 110 on the motorway.. .didn't hold it for long though, just wanted to get past something...
    Then I've been driven at about 125 in a mates TD astra estate... except that he had swapped the engine for a red top! :eeek:
    And now... that I have Golf Gti.. I accidently do 100 without noticing!

    Fastest I've ever driven in my 98 Renault Clio 1.2 was 115 on the A34 Newbury Bypass, on a long straight downhill patch on the way to the hospital in Winchester cos my bro was having an emergency op. believe it or not, when I slowed down to 100mph, a police car overtook me!!!!

    Fastest I've been in, 145mph in a taxi - Ford Mondeo.

    These blue boxes on the motorways are police enforcement cameras, which look at traffic building up, and enable the police to look at the motorways, not a speed camera but if they police see u...

    And gatsos can only detect speeds up to 187mph, you safe if you go faster than that Penski!

    143 (GPS) in my Honda Civic on the Autobahn in Germany. i was very naughty and drove back from holland to calais at 3 am at an average speed of 130... nearly killing a deer and my passenger in the process. I then found out the Belgian police are notorious for impounding your car if you dont pay your fine for speeding. was fun though...

    Went 120 with my aunty driving down to london one time,
    when my mum an aunty went to USA for a hols they rented a mustang GT and did 140 before they bottled it..
