+100 to this and a solid Amen. Article count is noticeably reduced and actual modding articles are quite few and far between save for the odd 'how to cut a hole in a panel'. I know these lads can do more, it just frustrates as to why they aren't doing proper articles on water modding, scratch case building, custom cooling, etc... It wouldn't have to be every week, but once in living memory would be nice. It's like the Dennis overlords have demanded they pander to the lowest common denominator and that's it... On the other hand, checking out the Twitter feeds of gents like Joe @joethreepwood could be a good way to still get their input without all of Dennis' interference? Edit: I've left it on there to show how strongly I feel about the issue, but I didn't mean that all the articles published on Bit-Tech 'pander to the lowest common denominator'. No offence intended lads - bad day at the office, you could say!
I'll happily answer anyone's queries as honestly as I can, but you'd be better off contacting me by email or DM, rather than Twitter. Still: Follow me!
Am following already, good sir! I'm wondering how your tiredness is now and whether a Burger King that late at night actually tastes any good!
Tiredness somewhat remedied by a baked potato and beans. Burger king never tastes good, no matter what time of day.
Bzzzzzzt, wrong! XL Bacon Double Cheese is the boss. Sometimes I have two! Aside from that, I agree with everything the good lady says
Two????? My good man, you are fulfilling the stereotype of people who live North of the Border! Ha ha!
Do you know when we can expect a reply to the emails sent straight to dennis publishing or should we put this down the "they have been filed" ........
OK, so I don't often venture outside of the forums, except to read individual articles, but I happened to land on the homepage from a new computer the other day, and WOW! Surely they realise that this much annoying advertising is entirely counter-productive? I am not going anywhere near the front page for as long as possible! - I have also emailed that contact for DP
the intel popup banner at the bottem needs removing i am not on my pc so cant tell what link is to give to block it as the owner is strage (IE8 XP)and does not want to use an real bowser, but intellitxt.com should be blocked unless you really like random popups on mouse move over please remove it or i just black list all ads on your site
I can't comment for when others will reply to their emails, no. I can tell you that the relevant bodies have seen the emails, but not whether they are intending to reply or enter into a dialogue. That's up to them.
As a paying member of CPC dont you think we should at least get an acknowledgement of an email though ?...... Not even acknowledging this is a sign of very bad customer service !
Sent an email to dan_hellens@dennis.co.uk who is listed as the advertising guy on the dennis link above. Hoe it helps you Joe
