I'm going to have to re-install Spore soon again, this seems like Maxis are actually listening to the problems with spore.

Agree, it looks like that expansion will add some depth to the game since player created quests should in theory allow for a wide range of difficulties / playstyles.

I just hope they can do more for the game than the space age. The creature and tribal stages could of had some more interesting ways of playing added to them, and whatever happened to that water stage in between cell and creature?

I dont think I am going to bother. Just doesn't seam like enough of a change. Sure some of it sounded fun, but for how long?

Expansions still to come would be my guess.

It Looks like They're trying to "fix" this game for people that intended it to be much more complex and deep, but the process of "De-EA-tification" might prove to be just not enough with this expansion.

They catered to the cute and cuddly crowd with their first expansion (albeit small one), but still they felt it was better to do that first than to put out an expansion worth the name, and now they decide to add player created stuff which will only add minimal appeal?!

This looks like another case of LBP, Having the devs/pubs rely on the community to "enhanced" the content to fill the void the players might feel after going through the small number of original stages that came with the game.

Problem with LBP is that they pushed a hardcore game onto casual players, and EA is (IMHO) trying to push a "Casualed" (yeah I just invented that one) game onto hardcore gamers with Spore.

I didn't even played through my Galactic Edition copy (Last time I buy some special edition crap!!), before getting bored out of my skull by the obvious repetitiveness in the end game.

    Oh well...

I think the world and his dog who play 'casual games' are probably more interested in Sims 3 coming on Feb 20th. My wife played Spore once.. through to the space stage but thought it lacked depth and complexity. I doubt she will spend more money on something she didnt enjoy all that much.
