OKay, had two spyware bits... coolWWWsearch.HomeSearch and DSO Exploit The exploit was "taken care of" by diconnecting from the internet and renaming the 1004 key to 1003... but coolWWWsearch.HomeSearch pops up every time on its own Is there any way to get rid of the dll file in res:\\knuez.dll and res:\\annzf.dll without going into DOS?
Those are likely not the only files there. CWShredder should take care of it though. Download from here Good luck!
Adaware has yet to detect either coolWWWsearch.HomeSearch or DSO Exploit on my son's (the spyware magnet) system. Spybot detects them but can't really get rid of them. Tech-Daddy's right, CWShredder should sort it.
CWShredder didn't sort it... I also tried using AboutBlast and HijackThis in safe mode to resolve it... no dice. I'm going to format sometime this week...
