SO I installed my watercooling, powered it all on (after fixing all the inevitable leaks that happen when you make your owN) and all it does is squeal REALLY loud (like can hear it downstairs loud) and repeat --, C0, 23, and 46 on the POST code display. Do I need to RMA this board? It's completely dry, the toilet paper would have told me if it had gotten wet, but I DID power on the PSU jumpered with just the pump, so did that do it?
Can you ID which component is squealing? My friends video card's power was unconnected when he built his rig, and it squealed like mad until he figured it out and plugged it in. Jumping the PSU shouldn't hurt it, because they sell PSU jumper blocks that do the exact same thing a paperclip does. Maybe try rebuilding the system? Sometimes that helps fix a silly mistake you made the first time.
It seems to be the motherboard, but it could be a video card. I'll try ripping it apart and doing it again in the morning, when I'm less tired. Otherwise, board is off for RMA...
My old 6800le would scream like a banshee (anybody remember Voodoo ) when it's power connector wasn't plugged in so check that you've provided power to your vid card.
I think you need to speak up as if it haasn't fixed the prob then he won't be able to hear you over the squealing.
