Hi all. Very cool case, the water cooling system looks like blood and veins going to the heart of the pc. I like it.

Excellent work. I hope I can create something that great some day. :jawdrop:

How many hours did you spend modding the build?

Would you be willing to reveal a cost estimate? (The cost if you had not had any great sponsors.)

    ;)

Again, thanks for all the great feedback and comments:thumb:

Well after attending the Overclocking Event at Scan at the weekend and watching Paul Watkins work his magic i decided to throw caution to the wind and have a go at overclocking this SR-2.

I'd hoped to glean a few pointers from Paul but he was real busy all day so with Google at the ready i found a ton of how-to's which probably confused matters but i'm getting there slowly but surely.

I'm no wizard when it comes to overclcocking and only had a couple of hours spare to try a few settings so can't confirm if its Prime stable yet or if i'm doing it correct but i managed to run a few benchmarks nonetheless and i haven't blown anything up yet :worried:

    Current settings
    4.3GHz @ 188
    CPU0 vcore 1.38750v
    CPU1 vcore 1.38750v
    1.40v vtt
    1.40 IOH
    Speedstep - Enabled
    Turbo - Enabled

.........and no laughing at my mega 15" monitor thanks!

Just a casual 24 threads... Any chance of seeing what the task-manager performance tab looks like?

As for blowing stuff up? You could cool a small nuclear reactor with the hardware you have in there.

More importantly, how are the idle & load temperatures with all that cooling power?

That is just beautiful, even before you take in to account the sheer power...

Nice overclocking effort mate :thumb: Just wondering how you got the x23 multiplier though, my SR-2 and X5650's only go up to x21 and im running 200x21 for 4.2ghz

Temps were fine but i’d be more surprised if they weren’t with the amount of radiator i have in there.

Low 20’s at idol going up to high 50’s low 60’s after an hour of Prime at 100% but this isn’t an overclock i’ll be running for any great length of time and will drop it back to around 4GHz or below for everyday use........not that i’ll be using it much anyway.

Its next outing is down to Multiplay Insomnia i43 in August.

That picture with it near a 15" monitor looks quite ridiculous.

I just returned from Insomnia i43 last night, the UK's biggest LAN event where i had the older but still looking good Cosmos Skulltrail on the Aquatuning booth but without doubt the star attraction was this SR-2 Stacker which got some fantastic feedback and i was blown away by the amount of people who had actually followed the mod on various forums and came over to say Hi including Bex and also Ben from Scan who actually knew more about the build than i did so hats off to Ben who not only endured the drink induced me and Tiny Tom Logan from OC3D jabbering about case modding in general but was also good crack so hats off to Ben.

Without a doubt, the funniest thing of the whole weekend was Mick of Mayhem Dyes adding a little blue dye to Tiny Tom Logan’s apprentice can of beer while he was at the toilet and he honestly didn’t have a clue while getting these picture taken..........that was just comedy gold that was :D

All in all though, another fantastic weekend with some great people........bring on the next one :thumb::rock::clap:
