Storage SSD 256GB Samsung? Differences between kits?

Hi

I need an SSD for a Mac Pro, 256GB. I've seen people say good things about the Samsung 830s and they look affordable.

But what's the difference between the kits available?

It's not just software and mounting rails is it?

Basic is just the SSD, Notebook is for Laptops and the like, and Desktop is for PC's and comes with a mounting bracket.

The basic kit doesn't come with Norton Ghost.

 

I bought the notebook version, delivered yesterday.

As described it's just missing the drive bay convertor and a cable, heaven only knows why the desktop kits costs so much more, £6 will net you a convertor and sata cable.

 

Whichever version you buy... enjoy. It's a fabulous drive.
