Just played my first round of Vanduul Swarm. It's looking amazing, if a little too realistic (very hard to see ships under some lighting conditions). The 300i flight model feels good, but I did get some random slowdown on the dying star level. Edit: And now a crash on Broken Moon

 

Downloaded and applied the patch.

All it says now is Please Wait.


Cant get in game yet.

lol log out and back in and now got the launch button. Now to see what it looks like at 8 FPS.

 

Just wonder how well my 560Ti will hold up....

Well, I've played a bit. Killed some Vanduul in swarm mode.

Thrustmaster Warthog isn't working. Well, the stick is, but the throttle isn't and the keybinds are all over the place. It's logged as a known bug, so fingers crossed for a fix soon. I'm using an Xbox pad at the moment that just about does the job.

 

Yay up and running.







Running windowed @ 1280 x 1024 on low settings.



Plays not bad for 9 fps.

 

Why so low? Mine's running perfectly fine at 2560x1440, highest settings...

I think Scorpuk is playing with onboard gfx?

 

He's using onboard gfx (Iris 5100 per the screenshot)

 

Its my ASUS laptop. Only has Intel Idris HD5100.


Went for it coz its light and has a huge desktop area on a 13" screen.


Not home from work until next Wednesday. I can then check the game on my dual HD7970.

 

What fps are you getting Cei?

3 fps @ 2560 x 1440 and high settings.



OK last post as lunch time over and back to work:

full screen @ 800 x 600 and low settings got a payable 20 fps.


I like a lot.

 

Getting a solid 30-35fps, haven't seen it drop below that.

 

How do you get out of the hanger? I have a different ship along with my Origin, but neither seem to start the DFM

 

Any ideas as to how well an i7-950, 12GB RAM and 7950 @ 1680x1050 will run this game?

 

Mine won't play, get no errors just dumps to desktop. Anyway got work latter, busy tomorrow night, work Friday, next opportunity is Saturday. Anyone intending to be around Saturday evening? Also how far through the citizen ID's have they gone?

 

You need to pick up the helmet that is on a pedestal as you spawn in the hangar.

Probably okay, might need to drop settings to Medium?

Check event viewer in Windows. I had a crash being caused by AirDisplay, so you might find a culprit.

As for multiplayer, doesn't look like they've even started.

 

Apparently the app doesn't have the needed level of permission to access memory

I am running 1080p with very high settings. I also have 2 x msaa, ao and 16af forced through the driver and at times it is choppy (<25fps) with my sig rig.

I may need to switch some stuff off to make it smoother in combat
