We reached the $10,000,000 mark just a few hours ago.

    10 mill $?

The game better be good at that price but I guess that equates to a low budget game these days.

They also have plenty of outside investment!

And it will be, likely to be the best game of all time for me.

Hurrah! Epic times. Full Mo-Cap studio, means they can rent it out to other devs and plough that cash back into SC.

If it gives any of the sensation of Battlestar Galactica style dogfighing it should be great.

It just goes to showhow much people want both a refresh of the PC market, and of the Space Sim.

Looking forward to the dogfighting alpha.

    Origin 300i Reveal.

This game is going to make all others irrelevant.

Nothing wrong with their animation skills then.

Been many years since I was into a space game but my love of BS Galactica remake tells me there's a hole that needs to be filled.

I actually think I was flying Vipers in my dream this morning.

    WTF??

    In-game graphics?

I dint even know what engine the game was using tbh. That's pretty stunning.

Shows just how far graphics have come!

Yeah, that was all done with the in-game engine (CryEngine 3). Obviously, as with Crysis 3 you'll need a powerful rig to run with all the shiny bits turned on.

By the time its actually released, it shouldn't be a problem for most people with what will, by then, a mid range rig.

Of course as Bit Techers though, we owe it to ourselves to buy pimped out beasts.

Beg to differ really - SC is what, 1-2 years out? By then we'll have seen another CPU refresh from Intel and hopefully 8xx series cards from NVIDIA (and who knows what from AMD). People will still be using their old stuff, as always, it's only those of us on the bleeding edge that will get the full experience.

I'm hoping my GTX 780 will cut the mustard ;)

If those are in game graphics I will buy a new super rig when this game comes out.

Luckily I still have my trust Sidewinder 2 Force Feedback. I got it about 12-13 years ago and there's still no better joystick!

A GTX 670 can run Crysis 3 at High at over 60fps average at 1080p - which is also the res of the Oculus Rift. Should be able to pick one of those or equivalent (860 GTX?) for about £150 come next xmas - I'd call that mid range.

Get saving! I know I will be! The 670'll last me til then, then its new GPU and O.R time! Huzzah! :D
