What do you guys think about 325A? Sounds better than Aurora for a start.
    I'm thinking Arbiter package...

All they've done is export the files into the Crytek SDK. :) Pretty smart, though.

The 325a is definitely a better starter than the Aurora MR, yes. It gives you a good all-round craft (bear in mind the 325a is simply a combat-uprated 300i).

Yes, I was looking at bountyhunter with standard 300i too. $15 difference and I get upgraded version and nice colors:) Package shows the same thing.
I guess I could buy 300i and then later on when get more money sell it and get 325a.. don't know...
Arbiter would be around £50;) That is a bit lot for me paying for game:)

Well it depends entirely on what you're looking for. Bear in mind that nothing you buy now cannot be purchased in-game using in-game money. This is simply a thankyou for helping to fund the game and its goals. You could get the basic package and still manage to get the 325a in-game later if you so wished.

Yeah, that' s why it is so hard to decide:) I love spending money I don't have:D

Can you sell a package or just ship? For example if I buy scout with Aurora now and later when get some more money, could I sell whole package and get Arbiter with 325A?

I believe that ship prices now are corresponding to prices we will see later on in game, is that right?
IF I spend let's say $60 on ship, then later on when game is released this ship in game would cost 60,000 UEC?

Don't we all. I'm the worst. See my ship list. ;)

Yes. Once you buy a package, you can go into "My Hangar" under your account and expand the package. There will be an option to "Exchange for credit" which will give you back the exact amount you paid for it, but in store credit, to allow you to upgrade (or even downgrade and split the package between multiple other ships). However this only works after 24 hours that the package has been on your account.

Not correct. CIG have now stated that the pledge amounts are actually cheaper in real money than the final price that the ships will be in-game. This is only for the pledge period and once the game goes live, the prices will reflect the increase, ranging from 2 to 4 times the price they currently are.

However, don't get too upset, as we don't know how hard or easy it is to earn UEC yet in-game, but we should start to get an idea once the dogfighting module comes into effect.

Cool, so I can always buy cheapest and then go for anything better when get some more money but still before the game is out.

Aaaa, just saw it on the SC forum - so ships will cost more.. in this case I need to save money quickly and get my dream 325A :D I believe pledge will end when they get $20M? Was that the top target?

Thanks for all your answers Phalanx, you've been most helpful and I quickly learnt a lot already about this game - AND got the Star Citizen fever!

What are you gonna do with ALL those ships?!:jawdrop:
I guess I will try to get Constellation later on when game is out, but some many ships?
Is it like each for each day of the week?:)

I wish they created Millennium Falcon from Star Wars - would be worth EVERY money...

$21 million is the ultimate target, which is going to be hit with ease in the next few months. That means they have NO outside influence from publishers or venture capitalists. It is fully pledge-run. I reckon they will make upwards of $35 mil by the time the game ships if you ask me.

No problem. I've been in this since it was launched on Kickstarter so I know my way around most places pretty well. :)

Well CIG have mentioned that you can hire AI crew, and that includes running a fleet. So while you're away, for example, running down a bounty in one sector, you could have AI contractors working for you or even other players under contract who are piloting your ship for a specific mission/contract/mining mission. Essentially you can run your own fleet. :)

Whilst CIG can't do it, SC isn't limited to just their server. They are allowing players to run private servers and even play the game singleplayer. The game has full mod support from the developers using the CrySDK system, so if you want to, you could make whatever you wanted. :) Just don't expect to use it on the official PU server. :)

Do you know if character creation will be available?
Like in RPG games - skin, eyes, hair etc?

There will definitely BE character creation. To what extent? No one knows. But I would say any decent level of character creation, at least. If not better, considering there will be a PU and they need to have a good level of customisation to differentiate enough in crowded areas.

phinix, something to bear in mind, you won't get lifetime insurance with your ship. However I believe you could be gifted a ship with lifetime insurance from someone who still gets LTI with every purchase.

Good point! If you want to get a 325a w/lifetime insurance I don't mind buying it and then sending it to you after 24 hours (at which point I can gift it).

Also, I have the 325a (my only ship) and I think its a good place to start. Decent combat focus, little bit of cargo space, and look puuuurdy.
