Please tell me that there's a mod that allows you to skip cutscenes One of the most unforgivable of game design errors, and Freelancer is full of bloody cutscenes - the horror of having to sit through them all is enough to stop me from playing the game again.

Don't worry about it, way I see it, just means there will be more to work towards in game. If you start off with 5 constellations and an Idris - then what's the point in playing?

 

This. Though I may melt the bounty hunter for a non dig Freelancer or Colonel on payday; purely for the physical items, which I love to have for any game.


In other news: X3TC is running surprisingly well on HD4000 graphics with no AA

 

You're making the assumption that the Constellation and Idris are the top options available to a player. How wrong you are.

Tried running as Admin or in Win 7 compatability mode?

Tried redownloading/reinstalling? (Remove using Control Panel to actually delete all the files)


That error code deals with bad imaging / Visual Studio (C++), so try removing that and reinstalling direct from the Microsoft site here

The game is a sandbox, you realise, right? There's no "endgame", "midgame" or any other game? The player(s) dictate their own roles. In the PU at least.

Of course, single player (Squadron 42) is another matter.

 

Yes i relise game is sandbox does not mean you should have no goals at all in terms of aquiring new stuff.

 

And yet we have not even one concept of how long it takes to save up for anything beyond the beginner craft. For all we know, an Idris might take months of in-game time.

 

Buy your top end ship or earn in game, heard that go wrong someplace before.
