    Like I said, the Idris is not a top-end ship. Also, once the game launches, you can't buy ships anymore, so the only option is with in-game UEC.

    Anyway, the Idris is a rarity. You won't see a lot of them roaming around as they are limited in build quantity so there aren't thousands flying around the place. With over a quarter of a million people already signed up for alpha, you can bet that there will be more than just a few hundred Idris before reaching capital ships. Even the Idris requires huge crews, so imagine a capital ship's requirement.

    Have they clarified whether space stations will require any form of crew? i.e. defense gunners etc

    NPC space stations are self-crewed, but seeing as one of the stretch goals we are aiming for at the moment (and already 75% of the way there!) includes the ability to control and manage space stations across the galaxy, I imagine that, considering everything else that is being handled in this game, being able to man various points on a space station will be included. I genuinely hope, at least. :)

    The way I see it, the stations will be manufacturing/trading/repair hubs under player control, meaning you can set tax rates / landing duties / import/export costs / order in materials or post jobs to transport goods out... things along those lines.

    I actually would love to manage a space station. But I also hope they allow manned turrets, security patrols acting under station jurisdiction around the close space and some sort of traffic/docking control. :) My main aim in the game is to manage "something", be that a business, a station, a fleet of ships or similar.

    In regards to managing space stations, and in fact a lot of other game mechanics, I'll be intrigued to see how they make these mechanics 'fun' in any real way.

    OK. So I logged my problem with support team, also ran checkdisk, reinstalled C++ again and swapped those dll files... again..

    Still getting this error..:waah:

    Got reply from customer support - they are asking for dxdiag, which I done and exported, but also asking for game.log, which I don't have in game folder.
    Do you guys have file like that generated?

    Sounds like sim city In space and if this is all 1 server similar to eve that would be alot of extra functions that the server would have to handle.

    As for that been fun or not depends on the game you want.

    I have it here: (MyProgs) ...\RSI\StarCitizen\CitizenClient\Game.log, I guess they are after finding out what part of the game is throwing a wobbly.

    Have you checked my docs, recent iterations of Win's don't allow std' privilege 'ware write access to C:\

    Checked privs for the game folder (it's installed default in My Documents) and changed for users to full control.
    I still don't have it...:(

    I'm not sure you'd have game.log as the game isn't loading. Might be worth telling them it's missing and that's why you think it's not there, unless they can tell you otherwise.

    Will see what they say.. right now I'm nearly crying cause cannot see my ship...:waah:
