Depends how hard Sony and the press at large push the 'objectively better on PS4 line,'

I expect Microsoft will get it's cheque book out and make sure the TV adverts feature the Xbox splash at the end to head this off at the pass, like they've done with past EA releases.

    SW: Battlefront

So with release soon I was wondering if folks were going to get this.

Im looking forward to it but can't decide what format, pc/ps4/xone.

I don't actually have any of the consoles as I don't really console game anymore. But I have been tempted to get a next gen for battlefront and destiny, I just cant make up my mind.

I like casualness of the console but am worried it will become a waste, I bought a ps3 for mgs on release and other than that and ssf4 didn't play anything else.

Never been a fan of ms controllers, though the xone is cheaper...

Do we know if dice servers are cross platform?

They are absolutely not cross platform.

As ever the sticking points are that neither MS nor Sony want non-paying users even tangentially interacting with their services. There is also the issue that whenever PC and console gamers share the same space, the PC players tend to utterly destroy the console players, something EA would be keen to avoid.

I'm waiting for a price drop and to see Battlefront's state of repair before buying it. Not going through another BF4 scenario, or even one half as bad as that.

As and when I'll be on PC.

Yeah, don't think any of EAs games have been on Steam for a few years now!

Is it worth buying it? For £50 on PC?

I won't be buying it and I would never buy it on a console anyway as I don't play shooters on console.

It looks dull compared to Battlefield. IMO.

Got it from Tesco with vouchers (it's double your vouchers for the christmas season). Will give it a bash... when it arrives.

After playing the Beta and reading the reviews, I’m giving this one a miss.

You are all mad, I'll be getting it tonight from Kinguin for about £30.
Never pay Steam prices or Origin...or any of that shizzle. They are gouging you all.

I put a rant about it on my blog if you want to read about it.

    I can safely say No.

No game is worth £50 to be honest.
Wait for the sales. or G2A.

After playing this for a while, really not impressed. Seems far too much Battlefield and far too little Battlefront.

It's just a dumbed down Battlefield with finicky weapons.

My review is coming on Monday (just finishing now) but I probably wouldn't buy it for £50.. or even £40.
