Today I bought Toca Race driver 3 from the steam sale and it installed without a hitch, however when I went to play it Star Force popped up saying I needed an update, at this point I said hell no and ran the official starforce uninstaller. After this Windows said it needed to restart, now I have a bricked pc, it refuses to boot up. I can get to safe mode and look around and even restore to a previous point but this fixes nothing. I manually dug around for the files and registry values and the official uninstaller did it's job there is no Starforce on my pc. Except now the only way to use it is 1: boot into safe mode 2: hope my restore point from the 29th will always be there.

Please is there anyone out there who can help? The machine is stable, all hardware checks out, ran anti-virus/anti-malware. I think Starforce is lingering somewhere and their tech support was less than helpful.

Could you provide a little more detail? What, exactly, is happening when you try to start it normally?

Given the information available, I'd start by grabbing the Win7 install media and trying a repair installation. That you can run it in safe mode suggests a borked registry entry or system file.

My asus bios pops up as per normal then it goes to my partition selection screen(this has always happened only flashes for a second) Then the 7 start-up animation plays followed by a black screen. If I attempt to boot into safe mode it gives me an error then boots up anyway.

My first thought was to pop my 7 disc in and hit repair, unfortunately my drive just died and I'm waiting on a Blu-Ray drive to show up.

You can do start up repair from the F8 menu i think. If not shutting the machine down mid boot usually invokes the repair option to show :)
