Windows Start up brings "Display Properties" up

    HI,

    all of a sudden resently on every boot-up or Log Off/ON the "Display Properties" window shows up.

    Any one knows where I can correct this small nuisence?

    msconfig or my Strarter program below do not seem to mention it. ......thanx nick

    Have you enabled "automatically re-open last used windows" in tools > folder options?

    That dialogue doesn't qualify as a folder iirc.

    my XP doesn't seem to have this "automatically re-open last used windows" either.

    Must be something some program I downloaded & run unwitingly entering it in the registry.

    rather drastic step, that will really upset everything.

    some bright spark will come with a solution.

    I don't think MrWillyWonka meant System restore as in format. System Restore as in the actual system restore to an earlier time function. It should allow you to go back to a point before it was an issue to resolve.

    Indeed, you will not lose any files. Just any programs and settings that have changed since the previous restore point. Its completley reversible, doesn't take that long either.
