It was bad enough that they started accepting Paypal payments.

Now I just know my Paypal account is getting raped

Good idea but I worry that some people will abuse it and register new accounts again and again to receive the free trials.

I love the idea! 90s = shareware, today = demos.

    Anyone remember Death Rally?

They'll put a limit to the invitations for sure.

Yeah, seems like a good idea. THey'll probably only do it for multi-plyer games though because there aren't many single-player ones yu can't beat in 10 days.

It concerns me that if this is released then cheaters will abuse the crap out of it. To them it could be a source of unlimited Steam Accounts.... 10 days is a long time when you're speedhacking, and when you get banned, you just use the banned account to invite as many new accounts as steam will let you. Or people will use their main legit account to invite the maximum number of trial accounts to be used for cheating.

What if they only let you invite accounts that have already bought a reasonable number of games though? It wouldn't be worth abusing if that were the case.

I figure its probably going to work something like that, or an accound has to be active for so long. I could see people making up bogus accounts and playing with 1337 h4x.
