Steam has to have THE worst tech support I have ever dealt with, and I'm even including Creative in that. At least creative eventually got back to me, Steam just seems to be ignoring me completely. So, this is the story. On December 28th, I bought two games through steam during their awesome holiday sale (HL: Opposing Force and iFluid). HL:OF has worked great since day 1, but iFluid has never gotten past Steam's loading box. So, after following all of the instructions on the game's support forum, I open up a ticket with steam on the 29th. I understand having delays due to holidays and such, but not getting a response until January 9th is ridiculous. That response only told me to go and do what the support forum had already told me too. At that point I requested a refund, which, 4 days later, was responded to with "so, would you like a refund?" (omg, I have asked twice already.... doy). Then, after saying yes, I get told that, because I bought two games on the same invoice, they will have to refund both of them. That really annoys me because of the following math--- Code: 4.99 (sale price of iFluid) + .99 (sale price of HL:OF) ---------- 6.98 (total) That is what I would be refunded. However, I want to keep OF, so I would need to re- buy it at non-sale price. Code: 6.98 (refund) -4.99 (non-sale price of HL:OF) ------------ .99 (actual refund) So, after pointing out that I have gone through (now over) a month of tech support to be told I get a .99 refund on a 4.99 game, I'm a bit pissed. I have never encountered a company that forced you to return all the products you bought on an invoice to get a refund on one defective one.... the worst part is that I can't seem to find a phone number to get into contact with them directly, so if anyone has that, I'd love to get it. ug, rant over, I'm tired
