In a word - yes. It's brilliant. I have used a bunch of mice before and after, but the Ikari just wins.
It was the best mouse I ever had. Comfort and precision were off the chart.... right until it stopped tracking properly, about a month after the 1 year warranty ended. I just realized you were asking about the Optical version (mine was laser). Optical sensor don't really deteriorate over time. I am confident an Ikari Optical will be just as good in 5years as it was on the first day. The optical version is grey and doesn't look as good as the Laser one however. It also doesn't have a sensitivity on the fly button as well as an LCD. It still supports two sensitivity profiles and the button to switch back and forth between them is still there. However, when switching profile, there is a delay of about one second during which the mouse cannot be used. The laser version does not suffer from that issue With that said, if I were you, I would take the optical version anyway. Gaming mice should be about two things only; comfort and precision. Comfort is the same on both models so no deal breaker there. However, traction (precision) won't "fade" over time on the optical whereas every single laser mice I owned have. Go for it, especially if you found one cheap
I haven't faced a delay while switching between sensitivities. And I don't like overly complicated gaming mice. How many buttons do you really need? Do you really want to switch between a bazillion sensitivity levels on the fly? 800 to 1600 dpi is fine for me.
Hmm Then I'll definitively consider it. Rep for all! Unless of course there are alternatives. Because this is going to be my mouse for ages to come.
