A Dremel clone is just a rotary tool made by another company which is similar to the original Dremel. Think of it like going to the grocery store and buying Coke (or Pepsi - ew) or buying the store brand "Cola". Personally I have one made by Craftsman and it works perfectly well. Just don't go cheap and buy one of those knock-offs I've been seeing for 20 bucks. You'll regret it later...

Home depot, Home hardware, Canadian tire, pretty well any DIY store should have some version of a dremel clone.

Dremel, Ryobi, Craftsman, Black and decker, ...

Im sure many others have a model of some sort that resembles a dremel.

I dont really like dremel clones, fork out the cash for the real thing(but buy just the tool, and the bits u need, which is pretty much a mandrel, cutting wheels, and a grinding stone)

The way things are going, a dremel isn't much more than another brand anyway.

another tip for you: buy one of those small dremel chucks (?? those you can andjust to any bit size you want) then you don't have to buy all those special dremel drillbits... normal ones are much ceaper in the long run.. especially if you often use small bits as 0,8 and 1 mm.. they often breaks when you least expect it.. :sigh:
