so were do you all store your unused computer parts that we all seem to end up with. Due to space restrictions and the fact that my gf is due to have twins soon my pc parts have been relegated to the kitchen in a corner in a couple of plastic bags the rest are in a cupboard with so much stuff in front of them that I'm unable to get to them. so i was curious where everyone else stores theirs?

Shoeboxes. One full of cables, another drives, another CDs, etc. Easy to label, easy to stack, free.

Two plastic boxes full of crap, and some other components in antistatic bags in the corner of a shelf. Two spare computers currently on one of my floor standing shelves, due to get rid of this week hopefully.

So, mainly in boxes or shelves...

Shoeboxes, icecream containers, etc... Anything that can hold stuff, have a lid on it and be stacked really. :p

If I could be so lucky as to have a girlfriend, lol.

My parents are classic! I arrange the stuff in my shed as effectively as possible to create more space for my latest project. I was very successful, until my parents bought new dining room chairs and where did they dump the old ones, in my shed! So, basically, my storage space has also been invaded.

Pretty much old margerine containers, ice-cream containers and tubs. As Duste says, anything with lids and can be stacked.

I find those clear plastic boxes with wheels and lids on are great. They slide under the bed easily. You can pick them up from B&Q, Ikea, Tescos, and other shops like that, come in a range of different sizes, and pretty cheap. I put all me parts into anti-static bags, then wack em in the boxes under me bed. Misses doesn't know when I bought new stuff then :D

In the loft, no-one goes up there except me so I can make as much mess as I like. The downside is that if something breaks, I am the only one to blame.

In a big cardboard box so that when you need something you need to dig through it for 20 minutes. Anything thats worth money still I keep in static bags and or boxes and but in a different box. Its always nice to have something extra for when something on your computer or your friends computer breaks.

I have them everywhere..some on the floor of my bedroom, some on my dresser, a K6-2 on my desk, and a bunch in an old full-tower case in my basement, just sitting in there! Oh yeah, and a socket A cooler on my dresser. So pretty much wherever I feel like putting them!
