    That's one hot looking cooler. Or cool, however you want it :hehe: Were the heatpipes easy to get off? I'm intending to do something similar in the future :)

    :thumb::Dthanks a lot !!!!:clap::clap::clap:

    @brinkz0r yeah the pipes were easy to disassemble....we just had to make 2 cuts with the dremel tool into the original cooler than we could take them out.....the fins can be removed with a flat screwdriver....just put it between 2 fins and move it up and down a little bit, than you will see how easy they can be taken of...

    today we made some progress on the cooler...it´s nearly finished now....i think tomorrow we´re going for a first test run with a QX6700 to see how it performs...

    after we attached the last copper plate we sanded the complete copper part and then we connected the heatpipes to it.....

    after that we made a first test run with water to see if there are no leaks....needless to say that everything is fine and dry :D:thumb:

    soo today we made the first test run with a cpu under our cooler.....:rock:

    and it was a good run:jawdrop::D:thumb:

    first we tested how hot our cpu (intel qx6700) gets with our old cooler....after a few hours of vista + surfing the net we got a temps around 38-39°....room temp around 27°...then we played 1 hour race driver grid to warm it up....after that we got temps around 47-48°....

    then we shut down everything and switched the cooler for our new one.....then we wait a little bit to give the water the chance to cool down...after the cooldown phase we power up the system ....then we checked the temps...30-31°...but the room temp has also gone done to 25°....so we run another hour of race driver grid and made the last temp check.....36-37°........i think for a first run it´s a really good result!!!:rock:

    Awesome! I Didn't know custom coolers were that effective. I look forward to more progress with that side panel (make it as StarWars-ish as the front!)

    This is a really nice project. I love the design, the cooling and all the small details so far.

    I hope to see both of you during the Games Convention in Leipzig this year. You will be there... right?

    thanks a lot!!!!

    @bomberman yeah i think we will be there again!!! Hotel is already booked :naughty:

    in the last days we wasn´t inactive....we made a lot of smaller changes and prepared the last covers for the other side of the case.....beside that we made a test run with the watercooling loop and all radiators to see if we can use this system with only 1 waterpump....and good news: it works really good...better than we thought....:D

    well hasn't this mod changed its colours, it began life as a really ulgy case, and now is starting to come together as something really cool!

    shame the front panel and the top panel dont blend together a little better...
