I have been running my monitor using the DSUB connection until today, I got a new monitor and now use DVI, but, whenever I turn the monitor off, then turn in back on, it just says there is no signal, only way I found to get it working again is to reboot PC... Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
The monitor might be defaulting to the D-Sub connection when you turn it on, and only correctly detecting input during the boot process. Instead of restarting the computer, what happens if you use the 'switch input' button on the monitor?
The switch input is on the menu, and it wont let me get to the menu when there is no signal The same does not happen when after 20 minutes my PC turns the display off, so I move the mouse to wake it up, monitor light changes from power saving mode then displays my desktop Edit: Another person with the same monitor as me does no have this problem, he is using an 8800GTS, could it be because of my graphics card? (X800GTO)
Sounds odd, try reinstalling the drivers for the graphic card, and monitor if any were provided with it,
Tried that, it would appear that many ATI users have the same problem as me, as of yet there seems to be no fix.
