Some background. The house over the fence in the yard was owned by a garden loving retiree who was always passing us vegetables over the fence until he died a year ago. Left the property to his son Kurt in New Hampshire or somewhere back East.
So we had a death in the neighborhood last week. Middle aged guy that went to school with Kurt. Marilyn and I have been waiting for someone to show up at the house behind us so we could contact Kurt since he went to school with Dave who died.

Today I'm upstairs and M yells up "There is somebody in the back yard" I looked out my bath window and yep somebody was there - white hair and white shirt. Into the slipons and down the stairs I went.
Marilyn went out on the deck and I went down the deck and cornerwise across the yard - 75 feet to the fence.

By the time I got to the fence the guy was gone. Fences all closed. House all closed up empty. Marilyn says he "just disappeared". The side neighbor's dogs didn't bark at the white haired guy and they bark at the wind and squirrels.

Guy was in the garden and then was just gone!

This was WAY before beer time. M is excited. I'll mow the front and hire the back from now on. Spooky stuff.

    Weird....

Are you sure you and your wife just aren't going senile john? :p

One of my rowing friends from crew had a house that had a ghost in it. I am not quite sure how I would react but i think you just saw one.

So does Marilyn! She watches that Ghost Hunter crap that I tune away from - I don't believe. Maybe I should. There was no place more special to Warren than his garden. That someone should be there and disappear IS spooky.
Come on - how long does it take me to cross a backyard - certainly less than someone going to the gate or the house door.

I also turn away from the ghost hunter crap (most of it is just for TV any way) however I do believe that there is the possibility they exist. Well for one there is nothing to disprove nor prove their existence so I think in the end it is up to the person to decide.

I'd be less concerned about the ghost and more concerned about the fact everyone around this "Kurt" is dying in mysterious circumstances.

You can't say that, then the Religous people can use that excuse for their rubbish too.

If it was a burglar then I'm sure they can dissappear pretty damn quickly when they want to.

I've heard my share of ghost stories. In this place you wouldnt beleive the stories you hear, all i can say that there are some things you can explain, and some things that you can't.

I've seen things that i defo can't explain without passing off as a nutcase.

For this, i must admit that what Cerberus90 says is true, burglars can disappear real quick, so it's probably that.
