I want one of these so much but really would prefer a slightly taller one that fitted more HDDs. Either way can't buy them out here NOOOOOOOOOOOOooooo

This would look great under my silver TV. But the price would need to come down by 50% before I'd even consider it.

These cases are ace. I've got a predecessor, I guess you'd call it, of these cases. It's one of the HFx Classic cases. It's truly brilliant. I'd agree with Shirty, mind - they're expensive!

Gorgeous, I'd have to have the slot-loading version though, don't see the point in an HTPC that can't do BR/DVD.

Quite! No streaming service can (yet) match the bit-rate (and therefore quality) of Blu-Ray!

There's a typo in this thread title - the company name is 'STREACOM', not 'STREAMCOM' :)

I find the swing of opinions really hard to follow some times. A week ago people couldn't wait to state their absolute disgust at Microsoft's design for the XBox One but now they seem eager to state their love for this £200 case that looks like it fell of a washing machine or the back of a fridge.
OK, the design features innovative cooling but even that is seriously limiting and certainly now worth the price tag in my opinion.

These look like high-end monoblock hi-fi amps, though...

Very true, a friend had an Alpine amp in the back of his car that looked a lot like this... but that was in '98 and the car was an Escort XR3i.

nice rewiew but...where is the case ? With that white background I've seen only hardware floating in a blinding white-out. Maybe it comes in black too if you're not able doing white balance on cameras...

The price of aluminium would make that prohibitive unfortunately.

I want it to be my server/HTPC. I want 1xSSD and two separate RAID arrays so I can remove all HDD from my bedroom PC. The loudest thing in it is my storage drive but equally I don't want to have to clean it out from dust every few weeks (I live inner city).

Because it's one of the very few cases that will support a decent wattage CPU absolutely passively. This isn't the same 2-tone plastic tat the Xbox One looks like either. Brushed alu is nice and it's 5 kilos of quality build says the review.

"A quick check in the BIOS once we booted the PC saw the CPU sitting at a fairly normal 28°C, with an ambient temperature of 20°C, making a delta T of 7°C"

    Interesting maths.

I was going to trawl up a load of links to Audiolab gear that you wouldn't find in the boot of an XR3i, but I can't be bothered to feed your pointless trolling. You don't like the case. We get it.
