Heya all, I am looking to build a new rig for streaming on mixer.com I currently use a laptop with corei5-5200u and can only run obs and two other programs. The quality is terrible. What do you recommend, people have been saying ryzen is good for Multitasking
I don't know much about streaming requirements but there is this: You could go with a Ryzen based system with software encoding. Depending on what you consider good enough in terms performance/quality an i7 and the same software encoding might also be more appealing as I believe it will be cheaper.
I second Ryzen, more cores will become increasingly important in the near future. Also, AMD doesn't come out with a new platform once or twice a year.
