OK, I finally sanded the paint off my old Gw802. I kind of like the look as it stands, but might yet go over it with finer paper for a better finish. I have some clear metal lacquer which migh help if I find some way of cleaning it down first.

Now I'm a little confused on the next step. I don't need the side fan and would like to window it, but having seen the look of it stripped, wondered if the thing to do might be to bolt the sheet of acrylic to the outside, in keeping with the rather harsh look of the whole thing? Any thoughts?

hmm i would think that if you like the more industral look you would bolt it to the outside but if you wanted to make the case have clean lines on the outside and cool on the inside bolt the case window on the inside making sure that you have room for it of course. i know that can be a problem with some cases. other than that nice prep job. and there is no such thing as too many coats of paint. and when you think it couldn't get any shinier ad some car wax to it!! :thumb:
