    I've just recommended a 3970x for a specific piece of software we use at work (which is a single machine licence but scales well with more cores). Can't say that would have been the case even 12 months ago let alone further back.

    I certainly don't regret my decision to go with an R7 2700 last year, after 13 years with Intel, Does all I want it do and never feels less than fast, including when running WoW in the backgound.

    Back to zen for my main rig and i'm eyeing up a zen based laptop to upgrade the gf's.

    Happily back with AMD, been a long time.

    I just moved over to AMD after decades of being an Intel guy ... price + performance = preference!
