    So, tall + dark skinned = short + light skinned

    not that I haven't heard both statistics before

    With the US election still years away, rival politicians are already playing the race card. Obama = Muslim = terrorist. Sowing the seed in receptive minds. You can't pass laws that cure bigotry any more than you can make cancer illegal. Treat the disease rather than hide the symptoms. We've still a long way to go in dropping unfounded prejudices and "Fear the stranger" has always been a useful human trait, especially to our tribal leaders.

    Of course, the justification in the employment case is, "We're not racist, but we to consider our customers who these people may come in contact with..." :sigh:
