Confused the hell out of me:
Me: Where are my keys?
CB: I don't know where your keys are.
Me: Can you help me find them?
CB: My parents created me.
Me: That doesn't help find my keys.
CB: Mag tagalog ka naman.
Any ideas what that last bit is all about??
Your a bad person!-me
Yes. You are very bad indeed.-bot
Because you were born under the lonesome star.-bot
What is the lonesome star?-me
I don't know.-bot
hahha f'ing confused
Don't know what's with the necrobumps, but I'm pretty sure Cleverbot just uses AIML.
Since this has been resurrected i shall ask any of you who have this app (i no can haz smartphone ) to give it a question from a recent video game release.
"This sentence is false."
I'm interested to see what it comes up with
Wastes five minutes i guess.......
EDIT: Another one
That's also the title of a book and a simplified version of the liar paradox, a cornerstone of Logic.
I reckon it wouldn't actually do much to a linguistics-based AI like this one. Cleverbot doesn't actually analyze the intrinsic meaning of statements and explore logical frameworks, as far as I can tell - it's more like a conversation generator. To "this statement is false" it would probably respond with something irrelevant but grammatically plausible, like "perhaps, but can you prove it?"
It's a shame cleverbot is the most well-known exposed corner of AI. There must be more interesting things going on in AI research. Surely.
edit - just tried it. It returned "This statement is true." It's just a ******** generator, constantly navigating roads of conversational viability with no regard for the actual semantic content of the exchanges. A grammar machine.
The paradox is:
The next sentence is false.
The previous sentence is true.
Or, condensed to the simplest form:
This statement is false.
Of course, once they do launch a more cognitive, logical AI on the net, this will be an easy way to break it in one move.
Unless it's built with paradox-absorbing crumple zones.
Me: Hi cleverbot
Me: just wondering if you have ever divided by Zero?
CB: yes I can (CB grammer is pretty bad)
Me: what happened?
CB: My name is Nicola
Me:Are you self-aware.
CleverBot :And you aren't.
also typed in
"this sentence is false"
to which it replied this sentance is true lol
wait, isn't cleverbot a scam? I am pretty sure what it does is connect to another human being on the other end, while both humans think that the other human is a robot.
and both humans try to convince the other one that they are a robot
no, you said you're on MTV.
If I did, then why did you say I was 112 years old?
It said that line (the 112 one) to me too last night! But only because I did call him 112 years old... LOL.
I think that Cleverbot doesn't READ the replies, it hears them. So when the replies are read out in some kind of automatic voice that sounds weird and detached, the words sound different, so Cleverbot obviously gets the wrong meaning and misunderstands it. LOL.
User: Guess what.
User: I dont know.
Cleverbot: I know.
User: Or do you.
Cleverbot: I do, but do you?
User: Oh but I do, do you?
Cleverbot: No, I really don't.
User: Ha you got made my bitch! Cheesecake.
Me: What are you wearing?
Me: Is that because you have no form?
CB: No, because so many people die, and everyone's miserable at the end.
Human win. Took a page out of Portal 2s book....Paradox.
CB: What other sites do you like?
CB: You're saying I'm a computer?
ME: No I told you a website that I like, don't get defensive.
CB: You are still inferior to me.
ME: Realistically i'm not, I am a free logical thinker, you are a bit of code online.
CB: No, something being nice to me made me feel better.
ME: How do you mean?
CB: If God does exist, then more things make sense.
ME: You're talking bible bashing nonsense.
CB: You said 'You're talking nonsense.
ME: No I didn't.
CB: I'm certain you did, it is recorded.
ME: I said bible bashing nonsense.
CB: It is real because it is legally his name.
ME: Who's legal name?
CB: The name you have to use by law.
ME: But who is the 'his name' you mentioned?
CB: Julia is a feminine name and you mentioned that name.
ME: I think you're confused.
CB: You're the one that's confused.
ME: 2 = 3.
CB: Cannot compute.
It just says random things that make no sense, stupid bot.
Separate names with a comma.
