so its saying basically in short no matter what option i choose bar formatting the entire drive that there isn't enough space for / /boot etc etc... theres 30gb+ :| ... so yeah:| i'm thinking of either trying to gpart live cd and split the windows partition to a unpartitioned 20gb or just go with another distro... any suggestions on what to do or go with if not?
basically.on ubuntu for example you can simply partition free space in your ntfs partition to make the required linux ones ie swap /home etc... and fedora has this option yet whenever i choose either of the ways of doing it ie delete previous linux partitions and create a new one/manually edit partition table etc it keeps telling me i haven't got enough free space:S when i have 30gb to partition off.makes no sense seeing as it has the option to use free space remaining on the primary partition...
Gparted / Parted magic / Ubuntu live-cd (all got gparted on them) will be an easy way to fix your problem, with less risk than trying every option on fedora. I also recommand to defragment your windows hard drive before partitioning.
