Rant Stupid robotic videos on you tubr

I keep coming across videos on you tube where they have used some stupid robotic voice to commentate on their pointless video.

Simply just why.

Can they not actually speak or what........

 

Aren't those the ones with the crazy conspiracy theories usually?
What's a conspiracy theory without a good robot/lizard voice, really.

 

At least 99 percent of YouTube uploaders are dickheads.

 

It's because they are usually india-based YouTubers and they use the robotic voice to appeal to the western audience. They assume nobody wants to gear a thick Indian accent commentating in a video.

99% of those videos are "Top Ten this or that" videos where they've literally collected loads of other people's vids and made a list. Zero effort involved.

 

Very true. I used to work with someone who ran his own gaming channel. He was the biggest Purple Headed Womb Ferret I've ever had the pleasure of working with.

 

Going to have to remember that one.

 

In the spirit of YouTube, you would have to let everyone know that Behemoth was the original source & he/she did not pay you to use it but did inspire you do so.

 

I'd take any accent over a computer generated voice anyday.

 

Look out for those "10 most..." videos narrated by an American with a piss-poor grasp of English, and no idea what research is for.

You'll welcome that robot voice with open arms.

I wasn't expecting quite that reaction to my post. I heard it somewhere else before, but for the life of me I can't remember where.

 

Some robot voice videos are actually algorithmically generated from articles and such in order to generate quick, relevant and plentiful clickbait.

 

Step 1: Claim Ownership, Step 2: Sell Royalties, Step 3: ?????, Step 4: PROFIT!!
