Following on from this thread Went for an interview this morning to become an IT technician for the University of Northampton. Aced it Full time from 1st March. It is only temporary but I'm hoping it may open a few doors for me! I'm so chuffed, not got anything to worry about on my week off now. Just had to tell people and, as I mentioned you all in my interview, I thought I'd let you know!
You mentioned us in your interview? Was this by bribing with cheesecake,? Congratulations on the job - it's quite the transition from retail to IT - well worth it
now go to subways and order a sandwich or what ever and when they bring it out kick up a fuss over how bad it tastes etc etc. then when they start on you back just say "sorry must dash need to go sort out the paperwork for my new much improved job" then just turn and walk out hehehehe
I can imagine it... "For example, I'm an active member on Bit-Tech, a technology forum, with many a post." - "Oh? I'm on there too! Who are you?" "Dav... Nexxo?" (Sorry. French humour. It sucks ) Bad attempted jokes aside, congratulations!
Congrats bro, don't **** it up by not monitoring fridge temperatures. if there's fridges. or temperatures.
There might be servers. They might need monitoring. Maybe. Have fun, dude, should be way more entertaining than Fubway
I hope you didn't give up that lucrative retail job just because of the hassle people have been giving you here about the arrangement of the cheese.
Congrats my friend!!! tip, stay out of the politics schools/colleges/uni's have . the educational scene is bad for that take it from someone who's still in it and been burnt . and NEVER offer your help for a favour not to do with your "job description" (always titles into more and more favours) .
Nice to see someone getting a Job they actually want .. congratulations I hope it pans out as you hope it will.
Thank you everyone, I mentioned I was on Bit-tech as a way of keeping up to day with technology and also said how much I love my buddy CK and fear Bindi's ban hammer! @GOO: haha, my Mother has worked at that place since it was Nene College, then UCN, then finally a fully fledged uni! Safe to say she's been there for a while
