It's nubile young women in skimpy outfits shooting big guns and swinging katanas and lots of special effects. It's eye candy for horny male teens, basically. If you're looking for that you won't be disappointed.

Sometimes Nexx don't you just want nubile young women blasting and slicing their way through a mindless romp? Maybe it's just me who likes to turn my brain off with some films. :p

Saw this last night. If you want hot chicks with good action and great environments, and just a little story to tie it together then this is the movie for you :)

yeah the acting wasn't bad.. it had a story too believe it or not =]

whoever wrote it has a good imagination.. the 3 samurai at the beginning was some really good cgi.. I did kind of lose my cool with the train headed into the city xD I dunno why the damn story got me when got thinking about it

It was kinda meh. Sort of a depressing story weaved together with some nifty action. Kinda reminded me of Scott Pilgrim.

The whole movie kinda invests itself in having the main character escaping, presumably for revenge and to reclaim what her mother left her. The lobotomy "twist" was just sad. Granted, they do pretty much set that up towards the beginning.

I liked it. Time and money well spent. As Krikkit said, sometimes movies like this work.

Plus, it released during m spring break.

I'd disagree with the cliché of it being 'a movie for horny teenagers'. It was very heady IMO, it left me wondering about it after the fact - any movies that do that, for me, are excellent. I like movies that surprise, and this had that more so than expected.

All the fight scenes where excellent and well done, the story was simple yet it played into the complexity of the main characters mind, and the dilemma of her experiences. Overall I give it a 8/10. Excellent original movie.

As soon as the intro sequence ended, I turned my brain off and just enjoyed the eye candy.

Visually a wonderful movie, 8/10 on aesthetics.

Story was terrible, no real lessons to be learned..

    The entire
    Nazi zombie
    bit was funny though.

More important debate: Which girl was the hottest? I vote for Rocket.

Seconded. Sweet Pea comes second, Gorski (Carla Gugino) third.

Been waiting a while to go see this, looks like I might head up to the IMax to see it. I am neither horny or teenage but girls with guns and swords and suspenders! it would be rude not to. :)

My current theme is Sucker Punch.

Sorry, did I imply that it was a bad thing? :p

There's nothing wrong with a bit of strong female eye-candy. But that is what it is. You youngsters are welcome to go see; it's only natural you'd want to. But I'm 44 so I like my women a bit older and more, well, sophisticated. :)
