Recently... past couple of weeks... I've been getting spyware alerts from bit-tech. Just tracking cookies.. nothing scary, but it is annoying. Has anything changed?

Everything was cleaned.. only Bit-Tech visited... then scan re-run.. that's what bit has left behind.

I always block all ad trackers with either NoScript or CSLite in Firefox. May be worth you considering the latter addon if its a concern :thumb:

AFAIK the ad site cookies are just so they can "anonymously" make a profile of websites you've visited carrying their ads, and how many times.

The trackers are usually placed in the advert javascript. Not much I can do about that I'm afraid.

Thought so.. It's annoying I have to block them though, as Bit Tech was the only site I would willingly support ads on, to help the site prosper, but not if they become intrusive.

    [edit]

Arrgh.. if I block cookies I have to log in each visit... this sucks.
