I'm about to get my first DSLR this summer and was hoping to fine a nice sticky in the Digital Art forum about what to buy.

Any chance someone could knock one up?, along with what else to buy etc, including what the hell all those super secret keywords mean?

Agreed. There are a lot of "I have $x to spend and I what should I get?" threads. There is a lot of great info in the answers, but a sticky would be nice. :thumb:

I'll try to get at least a framework with a few things written in fully up tonight (writing an FAQ on valentine's day :/) and then people can add stuff? It would be quite handy to have an explanation of basic dSLR related terms (ISO, f-stop, shutter speed) and how they affect the end result though, as well as people's experiences with different cameras - good idea. :D
